Carl Presley FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions Q. Carl, do you sing or mime? A. Man, I sing with my heart and soul. Q. Are your side burns real? A. Yeah they're real, 6 years in the making. Q. How long do you perform for? A. Every event requires a different show. I am very flexible to tailor a show that suits your requirements. Q. How many songs do you sing? A. I have over 100 songs in my repertoire, from rock n roll, ballads, gospel and many cover songs that Elvis performed live in concerts. Q. Carl, I would like you to perform at my party at home, but can you provide the sound equipment? A. Yes at home, restaurants, halls or even outdoor events, I have a PA system to cater for over 200 people. I will arrive during the day to set up and then come back to rock the night away. Q. Carl, how long have you been performing for? A. I started singing Elvis professionally in 2000. Over the years, I have come to realise how important it is to sing with passion and add my own humorous personality to my shows. Before each show, I can't wait to get out there and connect with the audience and express my love for music that always guarantees the guests screaming for more and a show that they will always remember. Q. What made you become an Elvis impersonator? A. It all started on my wedding day, when I surprised my wife and sang the "Wonder of you". I cannot explain the feeling; all I know is that it has changed my life forever. The positive comments I receive after my shows and the happiness and fond memories I bring to my audiences are the main reasons why I love what I do and which makes me very proud. Q. How many costumes do you have? A. I have 6 costumes. All my jumpsuits, 70's shirts and pants, belts and jackets are made to the highest quality by professional tailors in Las Vegas to the same standard of Elvis Presley. Q. Carl will you travel out of NSW? A. Yes this is no problem. I will travel by car, plane, train or bus or even walk (well maybe not walk). Q. What makes you different from other Elvis acts? A. Impersonating Elvis is not a job but a dream that I am fulfilling. Each show is full of electricity, 110% enthusiasm, audience participation, spectacular original costumes, precision moves and personal touches which puts me above the rest.
